Songbirds, water fowl, game birds and birds of prey are all carved to the minutest detail. Using tupelo and local basswood, the carvings evolve through multiple stages taking weeks to several months before completion. Wood carving is a relaxing and challenging art form that transforms a ‘wonder of nature’ into a collectable wood sculpture. Carol has a passion for the perfection of her carvings and sculptures and she showcases annually at many wood carving shows and exhibition, winning many awards for her craftsmanship and artistic/creative settings.Allow me to tour you through my gallery of bird carvings and wood sculptures, many of which are for sale …. |
