The American Kestral is the smallest most common falcon and is found all over the continent and north of the tree line in the summer. This carving stands about 12 inches high . It is carved from basswood and the mouse carved from a piece of bois float from the tropics. This carving placed 3rd in the Canadian National Wildfowl Carving show in Kitchener, Ontario.
